Feeling Lost In Life

It feels like the world is revolving around me,

But not in a good way.

While everyone is living life to the fullest, 

I sit here spectating.

Watching as happiness enriches people's lives

The sight of this warms my heart

Until the curtains close and they all move on

I want to ride the waves, 

Not be a ship lost at sea

I want to look forward to what's next, 

Not regret what is, and what could be. 

I envy the smiles people wear

I deserve that too.
